Sirius RAM has been tested with AppleWorks 3.0 & up, AppleWorks IIgs v1.1, Platinum Paint 2.0, HyperStudio 3.0, Hyper Card IIgs, GNO/ME 2.0.5, the Orca Series & Merlin 16 Plus to name just a few.

A few notes about DMA compatibility:

Only the first 4 megs of EXPANDED memory are DMA compatible. This does not include RAM on your motherboard which is also DMA compatible. The computer hardware is well aware of this an no special work arounds are needed. This means it will do DMA when it can, and won’t when it can’t. You can use all 8 meg of RAM and have the Apple High Speed or RAMFast card configured with DMA active.

Sirius RAM IIgs (Zero) MBMore Details
RAM is not included. You will need to supply 1,2, 4 or 8 1 MB x 8 SIMMs to use this card. SIMMs should be the kind that have 8 actual chips on them and not the 2 or 3 chip variety. Most 8 chip SIMM modules will work fine, where as with 9 chip modules you run a higher probability of them not being compatible as the Apple II uses RAS before CAS refresh.

The Sirius RAM GS card can also use 256K SIMMs for a maximum of 2MB in 256K, 512K, 1MB and 2MB configurations with the same restrictions as 1 Meg SIMMs. You can not mix 256K and 1MB SIMMs together on the RAM card.
